Hatsune Miku, soaring through the air as if underwater, is brought to life in 3D from a newly drawn illustration!
Based on an original illustration by ATDan and Hanasa, commissioned by Kaiyodo and featuring goldfish, a popular symbol of good fortune, Hatsune Miku has been brought to life as a 1/7 scale figure! Miku's hair and kimono appear to float in the water, while goldfish swim in the air. The figure captures a fantastical situation where different spaces, air and water, intersect, with graceful sculpting. Miku's tall, slender figure is arranged to give the impression of floating, with attention paid even to her toes.
The skin of her shoulders and legs peeking out from her kimono stands out against the vibrant colors, giving her a prominent presence as the main subject even amidst the rich detail of the overall figure. In particular, the print around her eyes uses 12 colors of pad printing to recreate the sparkling eyes from the illustration. The Chinese-style kimono Miku wears has a luxurious finish with a vibrant red and gold decorations. Goldfish patterns are printed on the dramatically flowing sleeves. The hem of the kimono, modeled after a goldfish's fin, truly resembles soft, flowing fabric, and along with the lively goldfish, the clear parts are given a glossy and transparent feel with the addition of pearl paint.
