The story focuses Momonga who ends up getting stuck within the a game as the game is shut down, pulling him into a fantasy world where he becomes the powerful lich Ainz Ooal Gown. This dark fantasy franchise has expanded to other media forms, that includes a popular anime adaption by Madhouse.
