The Lizard is dressed in his classic shredded purple pants and torn white lab coat. Muscular and sheathed in dense green scale, the Lizard possesses heightened strength, reflexes and endurance, and utilizes his powerful tail as both a bludgeon and a prehensile appendage. Typically utilizing a sewer setting as his lair, the Lizard possesses limited control over lesser reptilian life forms. The Lizard was the unintended result of Dr. Connor’s attempt to replace amputated limb by means of reptile DNA; the transformation effectively replaces Connor’s keen scientific mind with the savage, instinct-driven Lizard persona. Spider-Man’s friendship with Connor makes it difficult for Spider-Man to battle the Lizard.
