After scaling the tower’s heights with panther-like ease and contending with its mysterious guards, Conan encountered the imprisoned Yag Kosha, a celestial being from a distant world. Yag shared his sad tale and explained to Conan how he was deceived by Yara and is now held against his will to do the sorcerer’s bidding. With Conan’s aid, Yag Kosha exacted his revenge upon the sorcerer through his mystical jewel, the Heart of the Elephant.
The Tower of the Elephant is one of Conan creator Robert E. Howard’s most legendary and unforgettable stories. Over the years, it has been retold in several adaptations, among them the classic Savage Sword of Conan adaptation. For many fans, this tale is the perfect gateway into the world of Conan.
