Product Description
The EH500 series is a two-car AC/DC electric locomotive that JR Freight began operating in March 2000.
The EH500 series, belonging to the Sendai General Railway Department, is mainly used to pull freight trains between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Tohoku.
Among the third-generation models, the five cars manufactured early, Nos. 10 to 14, are characterized by a thick front light cover frame, just like the second-generation models.
As of 2025, locomotives 12 to 14 have been repainted with a new paint scheme without the JRF marking, while locomotives 10 and 11 are still in service with the original JRF marking.
This model reproduces the appearance with the JRF mark, headlights are equipped with a constant lighting board and All-axle current collection and drive system.
