The Royal Naboo Security Forces served in the absence of a conventional military. During the Battle of Naboo the security officers were overwhelmed by the Federation’s Battle Droids, and many of the officers were remanded to prison camps. Some of the officers were liberated by Lt. Gavyn Sykes, and later Queen Amidala and Security Head Captain Panaka succeeded in mobilizing the remaining officers to overthrow Viceroy Nute Gunray and repel the latter’s Battle Droids.
