This is a classic 9" tall talking STAR WARS recreation of the male Wampa who attempted to prey on Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalker escaped the attack by cutting off the Wampa's arm with his lightsaber. Representative of the story, this wonderful, talking, soft plush Wampa features a detachable arm!

The monstrous Wampa Snow Beast is a bipedal predator encountered by Luke Skywalker during the latter’s perimeter search of the Rebellion’s secret base on the frozen world of Hoth. Overwhelmed by the beast’s ferocity and pummeled by the beast’s shovel-like paw, Skywalker is rendered unconscious and is dragged through the hollowing frozen wastes to the cave lair of the Wampa. Luke is strung upside down from a cluster of stalactites, with his lightsaber discarded and out of reach. As Skywalker detects the warbling feeding sounds of the Wampa echoing from an adjacent passage, he calls upon the power of the Force and manages to levitate the lightsaber into his grasp. Producing the blade, he manages to cut himself free only moments before the bloodthirsty Wampa attacks.
