Tolkien is struck from solid magnetic stainless steel, measures just over 1 inch in diameter, and features four trees symbolizing the four cardinal directions. The magnetic coin can be connected to the magnetic handle to spruce up invitations, gift wrapping, packaging, and envelopes
The symbols are inscribed in Tengwar and the dates on the coins relate to the Third Age by Shire Reckoning: the Hobbit calendar. All four trees are shown with their roots enmeshed.
