From the soft vinyl series “The Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection,” sculpted and produced by renowned artist Yuji Sakai, Godzilla (1991) makes its return from the 1991 film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah!
This figure is Yuji Sakai’s recreation of Godzilla as seen in the film’s climactic battle in Hokkaido. From the powerfully defined chest and tightly contoured waist to the lowered center of gravity expressed through the dorsal fins, every aspect of the sculpt conveys an overwhelming sense of mass and intensity. To preserve the integrity of Sakai’s original cast prototype, the sculpt was converted into wax to create the master mold.
