Sometimes referred to as "Digital Monsters", Digimon is a highly popular franchise that revolves around the many creatures that inhabit the "Digital World" and the adventures that take place within that world. Digimon has seen commerical success with the popular anime and video game series based on the brand, as well as merchandising success with various toy lines and trading card games.
Debuting in the iconic 1954 Japanese film Godzilla (Gojira) directed by Ishiro Honda and produced by Toho Co.; Godzilla is a monsterous creature called a Kaiju that causes havok throughout Japan. Godzilla has become a cultural icon that is widely considered to be the "King of the Monster" and has been featured in a plethora of films with various differences throughout the decades.
