The character Brother Voodoo (Jericho Drumm) first appeared in Strange Tales #169, published in September 1973. The character was created by writer Len Wein and artist Gene Colan.
Brother Voodoo can control flames and lower life forms, and he can enter a trance-like state to make himself impervious to fire.
