This is the Alpha version of Chun Li, during the prequel early days when she wore the vest, the blue tights and bracelets studded rather than spiked. Her story began with the murder of her father and her search for the responsible party, M. Bison. Though she initially succeeded in finding and confronting Bison, he attacked her, defeating her, and split the scene laughing over his shoulder. She signed on with Interpol, making it her business to put an end to Bison and Shadoloo. She teamed up with good ole’ Guile of the US Air Force and managed to infiltrate the Shadoloo headquarters, destroying a large portion of the Shadoloo holdings only to learn later that Bison had managed to escape. She entered the tournament under the pretense of confronting Bison once again, finally avenging her father.
Chun Li was one the better game players, relying more upon speed and ferocity than elaborate special moves. She was able to rebound from the edges of the screen. Initially her most prominent special move was her devastating Lightning Leg, although later she was upgraded with other specials like projectiles. This PVC statue does her the justice she deserves, capturing her perfectly, noble, beautiful, willowy, and ready to bury her heel in Bison’s face. She well-compliments her two fellow babes in the Heavy Gauge line, Cammy and Morrigan.
