Mothra primarily varies between two forms; in stocky caterpillar form, she is capable of mummifying her opponents with silk webbing; in winged form she is capable of outmaneuvering and physically attacking clumsier opponents, and is equipped with energy-based projectile attacks. Mothra is unleashed when atomic tests are launched against Infant Island and the island’s tribal inhabitants. The two miniature girls who communicate telepathically with Mothra are captured, prompting Mothra’s journey to Japan and resulting rampage in search of the girls.
