Passed down through generations, the very best recipes are important documents.
We have managed to get our hands on three of the favourites from Bilbo Baggins's kitchen at Bag End, thanks to calligrapher Daniel Reeve of the 3 Foot 7 Art Department and have reproduced them in art print form for you to add to your family's staples.
The recipes come in a set of three:
Lamb Stew
Stuffing (for chicken or bird of your choice)
Pastry Cakes
As these are ancient documents, you will find that some measurements used are equally ancient - you may need to improvise the size of a 'noggin of sugar' or 'scruple of butter' for your Pastry Cakes.
And please do consider the diminutive size of a Hobbit when you add the 'handful of sage' to your stuffing!
