The infamous Scotland Yard detectives Thomson (with the flared-out moustache) and Thompson (straight moustache) offer comic relief and a satiric wink in good ol' cop bashing tradition.
Contrary to popular belief, Thomson and Thompson are not twins, but colleagues, with an uncanny ability to confuse - others and them-selves. They take the letter of the law to new extremes and are fiercely loyal to their mission. This wildly complicates their relationship to Tintin and Captain Haddock.
Aside from the moustache, a few moles are all that distinguishes Thomson from Thompson.
The Weta sculpture of Thomson & Thompson is a 1/6 scale polystone resin statue created from the actual digital models made by Weta Digital for the new movie The Adventures of Tintin, and was finished and prepared by the artists at Weta Workshop.
It is a limited edition piece capturing the two detectives in an iconic contemplative pose. Makes an excellent start to any Tintin collection, as well as a superb complement for those who have collected Classic Tintin pieces over the years. Each piece will be individually numbered.
