This has to be one of the cooler action figure sets to float down the river in a while. The set includes two articulated Cyber Guards, Cyber Throne and Cyber Controller, the latter bearing an exposed brains and linked to the throne by hoses and cables. The Cyber Controller appears to be either a title granted to a various Cybermen or else a reflection of the same intellect transplanted into alternate forms. The Cybermen are sheathed completely in metal, the question of the extent of biological material beneath the cybernetic veneer not completely known.
The Cybermen began as biological entities, but over a period a time in which they practiced a familiar ritual of replacing various extremities with cybernetic implants, they evolved into a more bloodless logic-driven culture. Initially faced with planetary doom, the Cybermen are portrayed as aggressively colonistic and reasonably conquest-hungry. Inevitably, this leads to a Cyberman invasion of Earth, which was initially repelled and then repeated on subsequent occasions. Over the years, the appearance of the Cyberman has changed and evolved to a variously large degree.
