The monolithic Godzilla Plush measures 13” tall, 18” long and 6” wide. Godzilla’s ash-grey frame is bulky and powerful, his back and tail crowned with dark layered fins. He seems as if he might even have a little shoulder articulation. Hands and feet are joined with curling talons. His head is especially elaborate, his brows creased over his wrathful eyes, his red maw walled by thick sharp teeth.
Nuclear-spawned, Godzilla emerged cataclysmically from the bay to attack Tokyo, serving as the antagonist of his own film. Military and scientists went scrabbling for a solution, initially devising the Oxygen Destroyer (that would later return to haunt Godzilla in the form of Destroyah) as a means to neutralize Godzilla. But as Godzilla inevitably returned and the sequels began to fall into place, he was more often depicted as a reluctant defender. He faced myriad giant monsters, making allies of a few and brawling incessantly with the rest. Aside from his tremendous strength and overall resiliency, Godzilla possessed special abilities like his atomic breath. Probably Godzilla’s biggest problem was that virtually no one appreciated him unless another giant monster had been unleashed.
