This version of Iceman looks different than the Marvel Legends version, like maybe he’s been hitting the weights a little more than before. Actually he looks a little like the Silver Surfer. He comes complete with his stern expression and whipped cream surfboard.
Iceman was with the X-Men pretty much from the beginning, although initially he was more snow than ice---similar to transformed serial killer Jack Frost of the epic three-film Jack Frost Saga. Later, they gave Iceman more crystallized look, opaque and then ultimately semi-translucent, in which his body converted into a durable organic ice sculpture of himself. In this manner, buy use of accumulated moisture and redistribution of mass, Iceman has his own form of regeneration/reconstruction.
Iceman is capable of delivering massive bad guy-freezing ice-blasts as well as creating a continuous ice slide to use as transportation---frequently utilized during the days of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. Unlike Jack Frost, luckily, Iceman demonstrates no observable weakness to anti-freeze.
