Deathlok rocks. He’s a hardcore, hardwired cyborg warrior from an alternate reality. Once an agent of the Deathlok-reality CIA, the man that would become Deathlok was injured and inducted into the Alpha-Mech program, a covert operation designed to create and implement cyborg super-soldiers. Eventually, Deathlok was displaced in time, finding his way to our reality. Initially, most of his personality and the majority of his free thoughts were overwhelmed by a cranium-housed mini-computer. He was a pawn for a while, a straggler, trying to finds his niche, and he did, eventually. He’s not your common super hero. Due to the immune system inhibitor that slows his cell division, he’s in a state of slow decay, which sort of makes him a super-zombie. (VERY cool.) This condition occasionally necessitates the introduction of organic limb replacement.
The figure is dead-on accurate. Deathlok oozes aggression, from the very bottom of his nuclear thermoelectric power supply. A zombie sheathed in armor, maintaining a conversational link with an onboard computer, he’s ready and waiting draw his 150 watt/second helium neon laser pistol, shoot his way out of the plastic bubble and bully his way onto the nearest Marvel Legends display shelf. Show some support for the team, and help him reach his destination.
