This beautifully-sculpted 8" maxi-bust of Khan Noonien Singh, the legendary warlord of 20th-century Earth who conquered a quarter of the planet and then exiled himself into space, perfectly recreates the genetically-engineered superman so memorably portrayed by legendary actor Ricardo Montalban. Every physical detail of the 20th-century's infamous warlord has been recreated in this astonishingly detailed three-quarter length 8" tall maxi-bust.
This version depicts the more barbaric-looking version of Khan Noonien Singh from The Wrath of Khan. Khan is a genetically augmented warlord imported from Earth’s 20th century. Prior to The Wrath of Khan, Khan’s transport vessel, The Botany Bay, is initially discovered by the Enterprise. Khan himself is restored from cryogenic storage, though once he gained his bearings he attempts to overpower Kirk and seize the Enterprise for himself. At the end of the episode, “Space Seed”, Khan is given the option of relocation to the untamed world of Ceti Alpha V. Unfortunately, six months later Ceti Alpha VI explodes, throwing Ceti Alpha V out of orbit and turning the planet into a nearly uninhabitable wasteland. Only Khan and a few of his followers survive. He blames Kirk for stranding him and failing to monitor his progress, and finally when Terrell and Chekov of the Reliant, Ceti Alpha V for C.A.VI, land on the wasteland and discover Khan’s survival shelter, Khan seized the opportunity to avenge himself on his old adversary. He brainwashes Terrell and Chekov and gains control of the Reliant, using the Reliant as a means of luring and ambushing Kirk. Kirk’s extensive experience enables the Enterprise to narrowly survive the first encounter with the Reliant, and it is Khan’s unreasoning lust for vengeance which prompts him to follow the wounded Enterprise into the Mutara Nebula for the final showdown.
