UN-12 Jazz utilizes the Transformers 2010 Special Ops Jazz mold with a slightly modified color scheme. Serving as Prime’s right hand man, Jazz’s original tech specs cite his love of Earth culture and his penchant for dangerous missions. In the original cartoon episode “Masquerade”, Jazz participates in the Autobots’ impersonation of the Stunticons, Jazz himself adopting a Dead End disguise. Later, in The Transformers: The Movie, both Jazz and Cliffjumper are assigned to Moonbase One when the outpost is unexpectedly attacked by a “ginormous weird-looking planet” that turns out to be the Dark God Unicron.
