Japanese Transformers Animated: TA27 Ultra Magnus (Lights & Sounds) features hidden weaponry including flip-out machine cannons, and is equipped with a massive spring-loaded warhammer. The imposing Leader Class Ultra Magnus transforms from an eight-wheeled Decepticon-pulverizing missile transport into a robot mode varyingly reminiscent of the battle-armored Gen 1 Ultra Magnus. A disciplined veteran of the Great War, Ultra Magnus is the Supreme Commander of the Autobots and is the leader of the Cybertron Elite Guard. Vaguely stirred by Optimus Prime’s assertion to have discovered the location of the fabled AllSpark, Ultra Magnus is accompanied by Jazz and Sentinel Prime in the course of a tentative reconnaissance mission to Earth.
