Utilizing the Voyager Class Starscream mold, Japanese Transformers Animated: TA35 Sunstorm is equipped with twin projectile-firing guns accessible in both robot and vehicle modes. Sunstorm features a color scheme reminiscent of the Gen 1 Sunstorm. One of Starscream’s army of clones, Sunstorm represents the sycophantic aspect of Starscream’s personality, exaggerating this aspect, lavished upon ally and enemy alike, to the point of self-parody. Sunstorm is typically portrayed with a faint slouch, and is frequently depicted in the act of wringing his hands in fawning supplication. The fastest of the Starscream clones, Sunstorm is described as a maniacal warrior and a living power battery who generates blinding flashes of light and is capable of absorbing and harnessing any energy directed against him.
