Utilizing the same mold as the C-06 Classics Skyfire / Jetfire version, Dark Skyfire/Jetfire is colored in grey, purple and black, and features special Decepticon emblems; Dark Skyfire includes optional super-robot components which add substantially to his already grandiose dimensions, providing him with a gun-flanked helmet, shoulder-mounted forward-flipping guns, and forearm-mounted projectile blasters. Skyfire is capable of flying halfway around the world in 30 minutes, and is outfitted with twin scramjet modules and liquid hydrogen fuel tanks that enable him to escape Earth’s gravity. Million of years earlier, prior to the war, Skyfire shared a friendship with fellow scientist Starscream. During an investigation of the prehistoric Earth, Skyfire was caught by a forceful wind and deposited somewhere on the planet. Starscream searched for Skyfire but failed to recover him; millions of years later, Skyfire was discovered, sealed within Arctic ice. Starscream anxiously oversaw Skyfire’s resuscitation, and once Megatron had officially christened Skyfire a Decepticon warrior, attempted to recruit his old friend as a subversive ally.
