GC-17 Autovolt (Korean Box)/Crosswise transforms from a sleek black sports car mode into a fairly well articulated robot mode equipped with a T-shaped projectile-firing blaster; Crosswise’s Cyber Key function enables his shoulder-situated dual cannons. Crosswise was introduced as a bounty hunter, more specifically a monster hunter, in which capacity he had long ago traveled to Earth to track down various mythological entities which were actually Decepticons, such as Thunderblast and Lugnutz. Crosswise imprisoned the majority of the monster Decepticons who were latter released and recruited as minions by Starscream. Having suffered his own period of imprisonment in ice, Crosswise was resuscitated and upon learning of the escape of his quarry, was prompted to join the ranks of the Autobots.
