Takara will modify the paint schemes on all the Japanese Classics figures. They are introducing completely different paint on Megatron and Astrotrain, and the other figures all will have chrome added along with slightly different designs to their paint scheme.
The current images are stock images from Takara of existing Hasbro products, and do not represent the final product that will be shipped.
We have confirmed that the packaging will be the same as the US packaging, but a Japanese sticker of some sort will be attached to the box.
The Classics version of Grimlock plays on the conception of the tyrannosaurus as a sleeker faster-moving biped as opposed to a tripod-stance type. Easily one of the best figures in the supremely cool Classics line, Grimlock is intricately detailed and heavily articulated in both dino and robot modes. Grimlock’s handheld bayoneted gun (this version with a solid black bayonet blade) serves his dino mode as a back-mounted cannon. Grimlock’s thick multi-segmented tail can be detached and used (in robot mode) as a king of bludgeon or sword.
