The original Cheetor was well-balanced and well-articulated as a robot. He featured one of the more monstrous looking mutant heads and was equipped with two onboard guns located in his abdomen and his tail. Initially assigned the function of Jungle Patrol, Cheetor was one of the chirpier Maximals, balancing his speed, soundlessness and honed reflexes with occasional bouts of teenage anxiety.
One of the original crew of Maximals, Cheetor seemed to have a mild case of hero worship where Optimus Primal was concerned. He also seemed to have a soft spot for the prehistoric Earth’s prehuman tribes. All and all, Cheetor was a quick and resourceful warrior, often sublimating his comparative inexperience with reckless courage or blind luck. Cheetor would eventually reach a state of puberty personified both by his crush on Blackarachnia and his rebellious Transmetal 2 phase.
