Measuring approximately14” H x 10” W x 9” D, the Meg Mucklebones Legendary Scale Bust is a hand-finished, hand-painted polystone sculpture. Set in the foreground of hunched back and misshapen shoulders, Meg’s monstrous, cackling likeness is framed by drastically pointed ears and dangling clumps of lank black hair. In Jack’s harrowing quest to preserve the last unicorn and rescue the ensorcelled Princess Lili from the Lord of Darkness, he is temporarily stymied by the flesh-eating swamp-hag Meg Mucklebones. Realizing his dire dilemma, Jack offhandedly outlines his inadequacies as a satisfying meal, and then craftily bamboozles Meg with flattery. Allowing the now-spoony Meg to admire her bilious green reflection in the surface of his mirror-like shield, Jack botches the death stroke by dropping his sword, and in the end manages only to recover the weapon and hastily evade Meg’s taloned grasp.
