The Dejarik Holochess Set is presented in 1:6 scale and is designed to accompany 12” Star Wars figures. The chess table is made of polystone; the individual creatures are made of metal. The Holochess Table was portrayed in A New Hope, aboard the Millenium Falcon. Chewbacca was playing C-3PO. When the droid gained the upper hand, Chewbacca belted out a great nasal roar of frustration. Solo then reminded C-3PO that the Wookie species was known to wrench the arms from the sockets of lesser prey such as skinny protocol droids.
The Holochess Set features the following holomonsters:
Mantellian Savrip: This is a massive leathery-skinned creature dressed in tatters. Savrips have apelike frames with downward-set reptilian heads. Mantellian Savrips were native to Ord Mantell. Though the species was powerful and combat oriented, it was frequently preyed upon by unscrupulous types.
Kintan strider: This creature is bulky with a center-set head and thick elongated arms. Usually striders were equipped with clubs or other rudimentary weapons. Kintan striders were rendered extinct on their home planet, but were scattered in some abundance; often times Kintan striders were found in the employee of Hutts.
Ghhhk: This is a green-skinned critter with spindly limbs and a muzzle vaguely resembling that of a boar or aardvark. The Ghhhk lived among the trees of Clak’Dor VII. The Ghhhk were early risers, renowned for their discordant mating calls.
K’lor’slug: This creature is a malignant wormlike pest with a multi-segmented, cruelly-honed carapace. (There is an eerie similarity between the K’lor’slug and the psychedelic caterpillar guise assumed by Freddy in Freddy vs. Jason.) K’lor’slugs were indigenous to the swamps of Noe’ha’on.
Houjix: This is an ungainly reptilian-type creature with sharp teeth and a spike-studded tail. The Houjix were indigenous to the world of Kinyen, where they were looked upon favorably and were often selected as innocuous, skittish pets.
Monnok: This is a bipedal creature armed with a spear; the Monnok has a rugose, unattractively varicolored hide. Monnoks were a predator species of the deserts of Socorro. Monnoks possessed just enough intelligence to fashion their weapons and to earn the reputation of a formidable hunter species.
Grimtaash: This mythical creature is spindly and vaguely insectoid, with elongated arms and a curving proboscis. Molators were entities of Alderaanian mythology dedicated to the defense of the royalty of Alderaan. Grimtaash the Molator was believed to have protected the royal house of Alderaan from betrayal and corruption.
Ng’ok: This moderately repulsive creature is bile-colored, with a segmented body and ropy limbs; maw and pinchers are lined with thorn-like teeth. Renowned for their foul smell and overall ferocity, the Ng’ok are prized as sentry beasts.
