Sideshow Collectibles proudly presents the Usagi Yojimbo Series One collectible statues by RokuToys, including Miyamoto Usagi, Katsuichi Sensei, Tomoe Ame, Gennosuke, and Jotaro. Created by Stan Sakai, the Usagi Yojimbo story follows the adventures of Miyamoto Usagi, a masterless samurai ronin, as he travels the countryside of feudal Japan. The Tomoe Ame Statue stands over 8.5 inches high and comes complete with display base. Cast in quality polystone, the Tomoe Ame Statue is an outstanding addition to any collection.
"You will all get the opportunity to own the best Usagi figures ever made." - Stan Sakai
Possessing natural skills with the sword, Tomoe Ame trained in the family's "Falling Rain" school of swordsmanship. Under her father's tutelage, she excelled and, understandably, hoped to be named the successor to the family school. Instead, Tomoe was sent to the court of Lord Mataichi where she initially served as a lady-in-waiting.
As a retainer to the Geishu clan, Tomoe saved Lord Mataichi's wife and son Noriyuki from an assassination attempt by the Neko Ninja clan. Consequently, Lady Etsuko, Lord Mataichi's wife, appointed Tomoe as "Protector of the Heir" charged with the task of protecting Noriyuki.
After Lord Mataichi's passing, the young Noriyuki was left to assume the position as the new clan leader. In order to formalize the succession, Noriyuki needed to travel to Edo where the Shogun would establish his role as Lord of the Geishu clan. It was on this arduous and dangerous journey where Tomoe and Lord Noriyuki met Usagi and hired him as a Yojimbo (bodyguard) to further ensure the safety of Lord Noriyuki.
