As seen in 1990's Predator 2, the City Hunter (aka the Ghost Predator) is a leaner, meaner kind of killer, perfectly suited to the drug-filled streets of fictional 1997 Los Angeles, in which Colombian and Jamaican cartels are at war with the police. Set to a 7″ scale, our Cloaked City Hunter is an answer to the first-ever City Hunter figure, which was included in Predators Series 4 late last year.
The Cloaked City Hunter is immaculately detailed and accurate to the look and feel of Predator 2. It features over 25 points of articulation, including ball joints in the hips and double-knee joints
The Predator from Predator 2 selects a crime-ridden urban sector as its hunting grounds, preying upon competing drug factions. The Predator’s actions are initially mistaken for violent infighting. The movie’s protagonist, Lieutenant Michael Harrigan, begins to suspect an adversary beyond the pale of any conventional attacker. Harrigan’s consults with drug kingpin/voodoo master King Willie, the latter cryptically suggesting a kind of demonic culprit. Harrigan later succeeds in wounding and unmasking the Predator, and finally maims the Predator with a commandeered throwing disk to prevent activation of the latter’s self-destruct function. Staunching his wounds, the Predator ultimately returns to a concealed Predator vessel, revealing the first portentous glimpse of the Predators’ more exotic hunting trophies, including a Xenomorph skull, and technologically advanced wares. Harrigan boards the mist-shrouded vessel, and faces the Predator in the final showdown.
