Cult Classics Beetlejuice Figure is clad in a rumpled black-striped suit and combat boots. Beetlejuice specializes in driving the living from residences still occupied by the dead. When the deceased Maitlands fail in their inexperienced attempts to drive the newly-arrived Deetzes from their house, they go against the advice of their minimally-helpful afterlife case worker and summon Beetlejuice. Transforming himself into a snake-like creature, Beetlejuice approaches the matter with more ferocity than the Maitlands would like, and proves to be unwilling to go when The Maitlands attempt to dispel his presence; by this time Beetlejuice has taken a likening to the Deetzes’ daughter, Lydia. When the Maitlands fall victim to an exorcism, Lydia desperately invokes Beetlejuice again, with the agreement that she’ll marry him in return for his assistance.
