The Saw 2 Jigsaw killer features a theatrical black robe, wrist-loaded stiletto and a pretty good likeness of Tobin Bell. This is the Jigsaw killer as he appeared during flashback scenarios and during his interactions with the cops---a black-robed figure superimposed against a dungeon-like workshop filled with medieval-looking devices of varying lethality. Eventually, he would become far too infirmed to appear in any form other than a bed-ridden sick patient.
The Jigsaw killer arranged complicated mechanical traps and scenarios that frequently forced morally deficient victims into acts of horror and mutilation in order to escape. Usually the killer communicated by video and/or mini-tape cassette, providing the clues that the victims needed to survive their tests, still, even so, the survival rate was extremely low. In Saw 2, the killer explained that the Jigsaw signature carved into his victims did not reflect upon himself but instead upon his victims and their inability to survive at all costs.
