Okay, so maybe Jason didn't really get the job done his first time out. He wore a sack on his head, he wore overalls, he staggered around, constantly playing Wile. E. Coyote to the camp counselors serving as Roadrunner. But give him a break because he was just getting started. He didn't start bulking up until Part 3 (originally released in 3-D format!) and he didn't really become the proficient Voorhees that we all know and love until he got the hockey mask, baby. He was just trying to find his niche.
This set has it all, Valhalla for any true Voorhees aficionado. You've got the sackhead version of Jason, poised, machete in hand. Even more than that, you've got Mrs. Voorhees herself, Jason's brave and beloved mom, who defied all the conventional ideas about Slasher films by single-handedly wiping out nearly the entire cast of the original Friday the 13th. Clad in her nefarious sweater, armed with the same machete that was also lamentably used to bring about her own demise, she's ready for action. But, wait, there's more! You also get the Mrs. Voorhees head-shrine, later used by Jason himself for inspiration. Mrs. Voorhees, dead but not forgotten, crowns a pedestal flanked by skeletal remains. This Friday the 13th 25th anniversary Box Set set would look killer---pun intended---alongside the Voorhees movie collection.
