This is one gigantic action figure, 24" with a 3.5 wingspan, big and heavy, guaranteed to dwarf pretty much anything else on a display shelf, and guaranteed to keep even the most belligerent of your orcs in line. The Balrog makes it easy to envision the perpetual shadows, decaying pillars and crumbling walkways of Moria. He's a serious monster, a noxious mixture of fire and shadow, meant to take up some serious space.
He's set in accompanying scale with the ToyBiz Gandalf the Grey, which will allow you to recreate the bridge scene from the mines of Moria. Down to the last detail, the Balrog is loyal to the movie version. His powerful frame is creased with thick leathery scales, pebbled by scar and gristle, outlined by jutting striations of cartilage and bone. The flightless wings, tattered and batlike, loom behind the Balrog's hunched shoulders. The notched, inverted horns flank his scorched skull-face. Crescent-shaped eyes and guttering crown of fire are electronically-lighted. He comes equipped with the fire-whip that dragged Gandalf down into the ink-black depths.
