The leather-clad Butterball is a morbidly obese figure with oddly incongruous sunglasses obscuring sewn-shut eyes and an immense vertical abdominal spread open by flesh-rending hooks. In life, Butterball’s monstrous gluttony and malcontentedness leads him to seek out and solve the Lamentation Configuration. Expecting a sublime reward, Butterball is instead encased in his agonizing leather harness and is placed under the command of Pinhead. Butterball appears in the first two Hellraiser movies as a background character. In the second movie he and his fellow Cenobites are abruptly killed by the Doctor Cenobite.
