Captain America: Originally deemed unfit for service, Steve Rogers volunteers for the experimental Super Soldier Serum and is reconstituted into Captain America, a master tactician and one of the most skilled physical combatants in the Marvel universe. Captain America’s nearly indestructible shield is a freak occurrence derived from multiple attempts by metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain to fuse Wakanda-indigenous Vibranium with an experimental alloy.
Hawkeye: Hawkeye is a skilled tactician, defined by expert reflexes and flawless marksmanship. His default weapon is his longbow, accompanied by a quiver of specialized arrows. A more standard array of arrowheads includes cable lines, and explosive and acid-filled arrowheads, but the larger spectrum includes the likes of Adamantium arrows, Vibranium arrows and Pym Particle arrows.
Thor: Thor is equipped with Mjolnir. Already a champion of Asgard, Thor serves as a defender of Midgard as well. Thor becomes a founding member of the Avengers, battling against Earth-based super villains. In the hopes of adding humility to Thor’s otherwise virtuous character, Odin partners Thor with Donald Blake, the former’s human alter ego.
