Originally the Tumbler is designed to deploy the Bat-Pod, a small, sleek, reconfigurable vehicle, deployed when the Tumbler becomes inoperable. In The Dark Knight Rises, the Bat-Pod is utilized primarily in lieu of the Tumbler, enabling Catwoman to battle the ground-based League of Shadows while Batman pilots the newest vehicle in Batman’s armada, The Bat. Catwoman’s virtual fearlessness and quick reflexes are beneficial to the Bat-Pod, enabling her to operate the Bat-Pod with the same efficiency previously demonstrated by Batman.
