The American author, Edgar Allan Poe’s final poem was Annabel Lee written in 1849 and published shortly after his death that same year. It is unclear whether the Annabel Lee character in Poe’s poem referred to a real person. Some say it was written for his wife, some for a lover, and others say that it was the product of Poe's gloomy imagination. From Annabel Lee:
The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
Went envying her and me:--
Yes! that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of a cloud, chilling
And killing my Annabel Lee.
Outfitted in period clothes, Poe and Lee are packaged complete with a raven and a book of poetry.
