The Ghost Rider VCD stands 5” tall. From toe to neck this caricature version of the Ghost Rider is ensconced in black leather, adorned by a hell-chain bandoleer, and heavily spike-studded. Ghost’s Rider’s head is sheathed in swirling red-orange flame, a heavy red glow liming the hollow depths of his cavernous eyes. The VCD angle puts a decidedly heart-warming slant on the wrathful countenance of Hell.
In the hopes of saving the life of his surrogate father, Johnny Blaze made a pact with a force he believed to be the Devil but which was actually Mephisto. Unknowingly, Blaze was a spiritual inheritor of a fraction of Medallion of Power. Mephisto had attempted to corrupt the previous Ghost Rider in an attempt to gain mastery over the amulet’s power. In Johnny Blaze Mephisto saw a new opportunity. He granted Blaze’s wish, although the surrogate father ended up dying a different way. Blaze attempted to negate the pact, and Mephisto spitefully linked Blaze to the demon Zarathos.
