Superboy Prime originated with the parallel reality of Earth-Prime, where all superheroes were fictional characters. When, during the Crisis on Finite Earths, Earth-Prime was destroyed, Superboy Prime was relocated to a paradise dimension. However he eventually came to believe himself robbed of his true destiny and became resentful of the existence of the mainstream Superboy. Disillusioned and warped, Superboy Prime evolved into a super villain character, eventually becoming a herald of the Anti-Monitor. Superboy Prime possesses a drastically heightened version of the established Kryptonian super-powers. His Anti-Monitor armor continuously harnesses yellow solar energy so that Superboy Prime’s powers will remain intact in a red sun environment.
