Having spent his entire life in perfect blackness, Rot Lop Fan operates by sound and has no concept of color, making the matter of his recruitment initially problematic. Forgoing a fruitless abstract explanation, Katma Tui converts the power ring intended for Rot Lop into a bell. Protector of space sector 911, Rot Lop Fan recites his own special oath and knows the Green Lantern Corps as the F-Sharp Bell Corps.
