Universe Classics: Series 15: Golden Pharaoh features multiple points of articulation, and is accompanied by one of the pieces required to assemble the Build-A-Figure Validus. A much more elaborate depiction of the character created specifically for the Super Powers line, the metallic-skinned Golden Pharaoh is clad in a high-collared, gold and purple costume complete with arm-situated wing-like blades, and is equipped with his ornate wing-topped staff. According to the Golden Pharaoh’s original character profile he originated as British archaeologist Ashley Halberstam, located at the site of a dig in Giza, Egypt, when he was exposed to a bolt of mystical energy generated, inadvertently or not, by one of the New Gods’ experimentations. The mystic force galvanized Halberstam, transforming him into his opulent alter ego and imbuing him with arcane pyramid power.
