Definitely one of the coolest figures in the assortment, the Parasite represents the mutated version of the character, purple-skinned and complete with a massive leech-like maw. The Parasite really sucks---a fact to which the Parasite himself must agree wholeheartedly. Monstrously distended and falling about three million miles short of his humble beginnings as the malingerer Rudy Jones, the Parasite looks eager to derive sustenance from any and all figures with which he shares a toy shelf.
Rudy Jones was an S.T.A.R. Lab janitor who was transformed into the Parasite after his exposure to the contents of a hazardous waste canister. Initially he was green-skinned and otherwise similar in appearance to the original Parasite. Subsequent attempts to restore his humanity only succeeded in supplying the Parasite with purple skin. Later, the Parasite gorged himself on an excess of Superman’s heat vision and was further mutated into a gigantic leech-mawed monstrosity.
