The Walking Dead Nate Bust stands 4 ¼” tall. A handsome devil, Nate is roughly the color of Comet scrubbing powder, his dead green pallor nicely complimented by the thick red spatter of blood and exposed entrails. Nate’s face is a twisted dead mask, absent of any emotion other than the primordial stir of mindless hunger. His soft-boiled eyes, as blank as aquarium stones, are set within grisly sockets of living flesh. Slap on a ‘The Walking Dead’ T-shirt, and Nate is good to go.
The Walking Dead is a series involving a small scatter of living protagonists awash in a world pounded by zombie apocalypse. The story originates in Kentucky, initially told by the perspective of a cop named Rick Grimes who takes a shot, goes unconscious and awakes in a hospital bed hip-deep in ravening zombies---a little like the opening to ‘28 Days Later’. Eventually, Rick manages to locate some living bodies, at which point it’s explained to him that the zombie epidemic is world-wide.
