Situated atop a nameplate base, the 15” Glinda Nutcracker is clad in fabric attire, and is equipped with a magic wand. Glinda appeared in Munchkinland subsequent to the arrival of Dorothy and the inadvertent death of the Wicked Witch of the East. When the Wicked Witch of the West appears to claim the Ruby Slippers, Glinda magically replaces Dorothy’s shoes with the enchanted slippers, and reminds the outraged witch of her relative powerlessness in Munchkinland. Indicating the Yellow Brick Road, Glinda dispatches Dorothy on her quest to find the Wizard of Oz, and later helps Dorothy return home.
