The 11” General Grievous is depicted in four-armed mode and equipped with an equal number of varicolored lightsabers, the latter of which are trophies resulting from Grievous’ systematic annihilation of the Jedi order. Grievous’ battle pose is reminiscent of the one he adopted for his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Elements of alien physiology are apparent even in his uber-adaptable cybernetic schematics. His internals protected by his chest housing, the only organic portions revealed are the yellow split-pupil eyes and the viscid reddish flesh surrounding the eyes.
Grievous was originally a reptilian life form. He commanded legions of droids, including the small number of the IG-100 bodyguard droids that usually surrounded his immediate position. Victimized by a staged accident that required his cybernetic reconstruction, Grievous was equipped with computer functions that allowed him to recognize and counteract attack patterns in his Jedi opponents. These same functions enabled Grievous to modify his own stances and maneuvers accordingly. Grievous was able to divide his two arms into four equally prehensile appendages capable of putting four lightsabers to work at once.
