The 11 1/2" Scar Predator is depicted in a wide-legged stance, carrying a dismembered acid-tipped Alien tail. Scalloped metal armor overlays the mesh material bounding Scar Predator’s mottled hide. Scar Predator is equipped with gauntlet-mounted blades, retracted back-scabbarded spear, and shoulder-mounted plasma cannon. His face, bearing the ritualistic acid-burned scar of his namesake---and which is presented with an almost benign and puppy-eyed look at the end of the film---is characteristically disguised by his grim and austere mask.
Scar Predator was part of a small group of Predators dispatched to a Predator training facility buried beneath Antarctic ice. Unfortunately, ebbing billionaire Charles Bishop Wayland has simultaneously put together an exploration team---in other words, the humans have screwed up an otherwise routine venture. By the time the Predator team arrives, the sarcophagus containing the Predators’ plasma cannons has been comprised, and the training facility is prematurely infested with Alien warriors. Scar Predator is the only of his kind to survive the initial battle with the Aliens, and is forced to fight his way out of the training facility.
