This version of Iron Man is colored in gold and red, and is accompanied by a red and silver suitcase accessory. During Ivan Vanko’s assault on the race car track in Monaco, Tony Stark is saved by the intervention of Pepper Potts and Happy Hogan and the timely delivery of the Mark V armor. Deployed from a briefcase, the lithe, comparatively threadbare Mark V is nonetheless durable enough to withstand multiple lashes from Vanko’s energy whips, although in the aftermath the damage to the armor’s exterior and interior is extensive.
