Superficially resembling Sonic, Shadow the Hedgehog is an artificial life form originally created by Professor Gerald Robotnik and decades later revived from suspended animation by Ivo Robotnik’s alias, Doctor Eggman. Shadow’s hover skates enable him to match Sonic’s blinding speed. His dark nature is tempered by the promise made to his sole friend, Maria Robotnik, to curtail his distaste for humankind.
Silver is colored in shades of white and grey, with golden wristbands and black and green shoes. First appearing in the 2006 version of Sonic the Hedgehog, Silver is a hedgehog transplanted from two centuries in the future; joined by Blaze the Cat, Silver the Hedgehog erroneously believes the present-day Sonic to be the Iblis Trigger, the eventual destroyer of his (Silver’s) world.
